BarKeep
Menu Bar & AI CompanionMenu bar, notch island, and AI on your phone
BarKeep gives you back control of the top of your Mac screen, then keeps going. Hide the menu-bar icons you rarely need, drag the rest into the order you want, and reveal them by click, hover, scroll, hot corner, or hotkey - with a layout that sticks across relaunches. It turns the MacBook notch into a Dynamic Island: a live hub for what is playing, upcoming meetings, timers, downloads, weather, notifications, files, clipboard, notes, and even a built-in terminal. And it puts your AI coding sessions in your pocket: start and steer Claude Code or Cursor from an iPhone or Android companion app, watch the output stream live, answer permission prompts from the phone, and pick up any past session straight from your Mac. On the Mac itself, every Claude Code session shares a coordination pool, so you can see which sessions are running, what each one is working on, message them, hand them tasks, and spawn or wake them.
Free to download. macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Apple Silicon and Intel supported.

- Overflow rescue: when macOS drops icons because the bar ran out of room, BarKeep moves them into Hidden so they stay reachable
